Walls Are Up at Yarrow!
Yarrow is taking shape with the construction of our first two model homes by Sage Builders and Sun Forest Construction. SunWest is in the final stages of preparation to build and expects to start construction on their first model in a few weeks. By mid-November the first home by Sage Builders should be complete and ready for viewing! Art Update: "Redtail" by Miles Pepper
It’s hard to miss Madras’ first public art in Yarrow—Chris Folsom’s larger-than-life grizzly bear with her cubs towers over the roundabout at J Street, Cityview and Grizzly. The second piece to go into Yarrow, entitled “Redtail” by Miles Pepper from Pullman, will be a hawk with a 15-foot wingspan that will function as a weathervane, and fold its wings back in higher winds. The hawk will be perched atop a 25-foot tall steel structure with a concrete base at the intersection of Cityview and Yarrow. Some preliminary construction has begun on the roundabout, and the final piece is expected to “take flight” in November. Keep your eyes out for this amazing artistic endeavor.
