Parks, Open Spaces and Recreational Opportunities

With over 100 acres of parks and open spaces right in the neighborhood you will be able to exercise your imagination. Yarrow is all about living life the way you want–among a vibrant mix of people doing exactly that. In June of 2008 Yarrow dedicated Crescent Park to the city of Madras. With sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains, mature trees, children's play space and relaxing gathering areas, Crescent Park holds all the characteristics that make this neighborhood special. A few blocks away you will also find one of the largest public parks in Oregon, the 60-acre Juniper Hills Park where there are plenty of spots for the young and the young at heart including bike paths and sports fields. Madras also offers a skateboard park that is bicycle-friendly providing entertainment options for all sorts of wheels.

Or, venture a little further, nearby wondrous sights include Smith Rock, Lake Billy Chinook, the Deschutes River and more. Plans for additional recreational opportunities also abound. Visit the beautiful Madras Aquatic Center that is located just down the road. Soon you will be able to play a round at our planned public golf course

Neighborhood Center

We have set aside plenty of room for a neighborhood center. Plans include offering a variety of shops and cafés–perfect spots to enjoy a cup of coffee or while-away a little free time with friends and family. As you have probably guessed, variety is a way of life at Yarrow­–from the people, to the houses they live in. It’s all about living and building a community the way you want.
